ADHD

Children with a diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) can often display a range of behavioural problems including inattentiveness, hyperactivity, impulsivity, bedtime problems, task completion problems and chaotic behaviour.

Caring for a child with ADHD can be exhausting and stressful. Challenges can also be compounded if caring with a child who also has attachment difficulties. There are however many emotional and behavioural techniques that can be used to support children with ADHD and reduce every day challenges.

Therapy Options

For children with a diagnosis of ADHD we recommend our Basic or Complex Emotional and Behavioural Therapy Programme. This programme provides a comprehensive assessment of the child’s individual problem behaviours and designs a therapeutic programme unique to the child. The programme will include support for parents/carers and therapy for the child based on this assessment. For children with complex challenges in home support can be provided.

We specialise in working with children who display high level challenging behaviour and use evidence based techniques to reduce daily challenges.
